Dr John Donohue recently joined our group as a Research Associate. John was previously a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Limerick where his research focused on the mathematical modelling of soil biomass. Before that, he completed a PhD in Applied Mathematics at NUI Galway where he worked on the modelling of seasonally migrating populations.
John will be working on the mechanistic modelling aspects of our AlienImpacts project. This work will ultimately involve many fabulous collaborators, but we’re primarily working with the great Laura Graham and Adam Clark for the moment.
We’re really excited to welcome John to the group and to see what cool research he will do!
